13 Weeks

We had another doctor's appointment today. Our last ultrasound was done a little too early, so they asked us to come back for another. After that I also had an appointment with Dr. Haupt. Both appointments went well. Everything looks fine for both Mom and Baby, and the backpacking trip planned for next week was given final approval. The doctor's words of advice on that were: Don't overexert yourself. Don't drink bad water. Don't get sunburned. And don't get bit by a snake.

Baby's heart rate was 154 today. He said Baby is 7.4 centimeters (almost 3 inches) long right now. He also pointed out the baby's stomach on the ultrasound, which was really cool. One of my e-mail updates told me that Baby is developing fingerprints (unless he/she takes after Aunt Pam :) this week. This is fun, learning what's going on week by week.

Our next appointment is July 25th. We won't have another ultrasound until about 20 weeks - which will be around August 15th.

Back from vacation

Well, our vacation is officially over. We had a wonderful time visiting the Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon, and Las Vegas.

Things are going well with the pregnancy. We are now starting our 12th week, and I am feeling a lot better. I no longer depend on afternoon naps to get through the work day! Woo-hoo! We're really excited to enter the second trimester when all the fun stuff starts happening.

We have a doctor's appointment and another ultrasound next Friday.

We will be posting a few vacation pictures for you, but those haven't made it onto the computer yet! (It's slow-going, getting back into the swing of things.)

We saw our baby today!

We had our first ultrasound this morning. (See the picture to the left) There's only one in there! It was amazing to see the little heart beating and limbs moving. Baby's heart rate was 166. Our due date has been set back. Baby is now due January 2. There goes our tax deduction...maybe...

I seem to have enlarged overnight. Here are some pictures to show the difference 3 weeks made. I tried to wear the same clothes as last time, but the pants don't fit anymore. :-/ Tim doesn't seem to have changed much.
