I finally mailed the majority of my paperwork required to reinstate my MI nursing license. I am scheduled to get fingerprints done Tuesday, and that will be the final step. Unfortunately, MI requires every state in which a person has ever been licensed to verify that license. For me, that means CA and OH. The paperwork I filled out for CA said, "please allow 6 weeks for processing". 6 weeks? To say yeah, I have a valid license? The most frustrating part for me is that this information is available online to the general public.
Last night I could not sleep, and I was looking at job postings online. I found the job I want. Now I just need the license to prove that I am qualified. :) I'm praying that the job will still be available once the licensing process is finished. It pays very well and only requires 2 12-hour shifts in a 4-week period with the option to work more than that if needed. I'll keep you posted on the job hunt!

Sarah Loves Dada
I had a conversation with my daughter tonight as I was putting her to bed. She was snuggled up in my arms and I was kissing on her.
Me: Momma loves Sarah
Sarah: *smile* yeah
Me: Sarah loves Momma
Sarah: Dada
Me: Sarah loves Dada
Sarah: *smile* yeah
So sweet. I love that she says "yeah".

Furniture
I know you are all DYING to know about our new couch.
Sadly, the couch did not make it into the livingroom. Apparently we like big furniture. Any of you who have ever seen our king-sized captain's bed can attest to that! :) The couch and matching chair (see picture in previous post) were returned to the furniture store today. We will have to select a smaller set.
I am sad and disappointed. That was going to be my reading chair. It was pretty perfect.

A Week In Pictures
We had a really warm day last Thursday, so we headed to South Haven to walk around. For all of you Californians, we have beaches here too! It's just like being in Santa Barbara. :)
No, you cannot see across Lake Michigan. :)
Here's Sarah, impatiently waiting to go to church. She LOVES to go over to the church and walk around. She wants to do it daily.
Most of our furniture has arrived. We are supposed to receive our final couch tomorrow. They tried delivering it last week, but they got it stuck in the doorway and put a hole in it. Hopefully tomorrow goes better! If not, this chair will be returned and we will pick out another set. :(
That is not Sarah behind Bluebeary. That is Bekah, Sarah's new BFF. The two of them have been sharing toys pretty well - even Bluebeary! We went to a butterfly exhibit with some ladies from the church yesterday. Here's Sarah, checking out some rocks. "BALL!" :)
And of course, some pretty butterflies:
We have had a great week! Sarah is still chewing on her fingers constantly, so I am expecting some teeth to pop through any moment. Work is going well for Tim. I am working on reinstating my Michigan nursing license, and once that is finished I will begin the search for a part-time job. I am hoping for something "close" to home (30 minutes or less would be ideal) that doesn't require weekends. It could be a long search!

Silence at the Farleys'!
Ah. Silence fills the house. Tim is working, Sarah is napping, and Rachel has some free time. There are many things on my to-do list today, and blogging is actually one of them!
We are starting to feel at home in our new house, town, and church. We had some of our furniture delivered this week, which makes the house much cozier. They brought a couch today only to get it stuck in the doorway, tear the top of it, and take it right back to the store. We don't know when to expect the replacement, but hopefully it will not be too long!
Sarah seems to be transitioning pretty well. She still misses Daddy and wants to go over to the church on a daily basis. She is cutting some more molars, so nap time has been a struggle lately. Sunday she came down with a fever and has had a runny nose since. In true Sarah fashion, she is happy and giggly through it all though.
I must go accomplish a few more things while the house is quiet. I just wanted to let you know we are alive and well!
Tim and I both got new cell phone numbers. If you do not have them and want them, let us know!

Wordless Wednesday - Almost
I cannot have a completely Wordless Wednesday. I haven't blogged in a long time, and I feel the need to give an update.
We are doing well. Easter Sunday was Tim's first official day of work at the church, and things are in full-swing now! I had a bit of a rough day that day as it hit me that I'm the new kid again. I didn't expect to feel the way I did, and it was a bit overwhelming. However, we are getting in the groove of things and beginning the adjustment to our new lives! And we are still excited to be here. :)
Sarah has adjusted just fine. She enjoys making friends from a distance. She is filled with smiles, but if you're not familiar to her, don't mess with her! :) Her sleeping schedule is back to normal, so we are all happy about that.
And now...Wordless Wednesday:
